This week I am attending a class out in town, studying new technologies. It means I get to dress as a civilian, not go to class until 0800 and best of all, I get a lunch break.
My excitement over a lunch break may sound silly, but I come from an environment where you are made to feel bad for being away from your desk to pee, let alone go out to lunch. Also, Fort Gordon isn't exactly friendly to driving off-post for a quick bite. There is nothing around the base.
The best part about my exciting new class schedule is that for the last two days I have been able to meet up with Eric for lunch. Monday we had soup, salad and breadsticks. Today it was gyros and baklava at Dino's. Yum yum yum!
